- Alexander, Samuel
- (1859-1938)British philos-opher. Born in Sydney, Australia, he taught at Oxford and later served as professor of philosophy at the University of Manchester. In 1920 he published Space and Deity. After his retirement, he published Beauty and Other Forms of Value. His Philosophical and Literary Pieces was published posthumously.
